1, The following terms and conditions represent the basis upon which driving lessons and courses are offered to you by your instructor George Pollock. Please note that the contract is between you and George Pollock, GPS Driving Tuition. Residing at, 18 Impala Close Norwich NR6 7PN 07547572524

2, General Conduct

Your instructor is bound by a professional code of conduct. Your instructor will be courteous, polite, tidy, and punctual. He will always behave in a professional and ethical manner. His car will be well maintained, clean and tidy. The car has dual controls fitted as part of its standard equipment. The car is fully insured for driving tuition. The car is a non-smoking work environment. Your instructor will not use your lesson time for any other form of business, personal or otherwise. Your instructor is licensed by the Driving Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) to give driving tuition. I am a fully qualified and NOT a trainee instructor.

3, Driving Licence and Eyesight

The learner must hold a current, valid driving licence (provisional or full), which must be produced in advance of their first lesson. The learner must also check that they can read a number plate at 20.5 metres with glasses if normally worn. Further checks may be carried out while still learning.

5, Payments

Please note payments must be made in advance of the training. Please note the fees paid are refundable in the event you decide to cancel or leave before the course of lessons or training take place all lessons taken will be charged at the standard hourly rate, any monies left will then be returned. You are currently paying £27 P/Hr These prices will remain in force while you learn.

6, Complaints

In the event of a complaint all efforts will be made to resolve the problem directly with me. George Pollock. Learning to drive is a partnership between the pupil and instructor. I will do everything possible to rectify any dissatisfaction. Should this not resolve your complaint then contact the DVSA.

7, Driving Test

All test bookings are to be made with your instructor (George Pollock) whilst in the car this will ensure you get the correct test for your class of test. Also not be charged extra, current car (B) test are £62. Test appointments not booked in the car must be notified to me as soon as they are known. Otherwise I cannot guarantee to provide a vehicle for the test. In the interests of customer and public safety I reserve the right to withhold the use of a car for the test if, in my opinion, you are driving is actually or potentially dangerous. It will then be your responsibility to find other ways to take such test if my car is refused to you.

Three clear working days (including Saturday) of cancellation or postponement is required by the DVSA. Failure to provide the required notice will result in the loss of your test fee. I cannot be held responsible for any postponement or cancellation of tests by the DVSA. However, I will do all that is possible to arrange another test as quickly as possible and to help you reclaim expenses from the DVSA.

8, Punctuality

In their own interest’s learners are advised to be punctual for their lesson appointments. I will normally wait for a maximum of 10 minutes before the lesson would be abandoned and the lesson fee forfeited. A reciprocal waiting time may become necessary if the instructor is delayed due to unforeseen circumstances. Any lesson time lost because of this would be made up by the instructor either at the end of the normal lesson time if possible or at a later date.

9, Learner Comfort and Safety

In the interests of comfort and safety learners are advised to wear suitable footwear and clothing which does not restrict movement. Learners must also take not of any medication they are taking that may affect their ability to drive safely and advice their instructor accordingly before taking any lesson booked.

10, Cancellations or changing of lessons

48 hours must be given before a lesson is to be cancelled/changed without the loss of the lesson fee. If lessons are to be cancelled/changed, then you must contact George Pollock on 07547572524 and cancel with me direct. If I must cancel/change your lesson under the 48-hour window, your next booked lesson will be free of charge. I cannot be accountable for weather or traffic situations which are out of my control.
